the girl behind the lens
It all started when…
I was 10 years old, and got my first camera, a neon pink and yellow Polaroid camera, for my birthday. I took photos of everything from my little brother jumping on my bed, to our dog that I would pose in the yard, to the pet rabbit that we would dress up in doll clothes for fashion shoots. I loved capturing and creating from a very young age. Then there was the time that I took a road trip with some friends to Key West, where all I packed was my backpack, full of disposable cameras. While we traveled and stopped at new places, I captured life as it was unfolding. Many years later, I still have the same passion for capturing life as I see it through the lens of my camera.
My photography has a documentary style to it, that focuses on capturing your day as it unfolds. I love making time for the little details just as much as the big moments. Whether it is Uncle Bob shedding a tear during your ceremony, the aftermath of your cake cutting, or the dog that wandered into your ceremony space to lay down and watch the first dance, I want to capture as much of it as I can. These are the moments that you will not notice on your wedding day, but getting to go back and relive it through a different perspective is pure magic.
My clients get a very personalized get-to-know-you approach. From the minute I join you, when you are preparing for your big day, to the last moves on the dance floor, I am right there with you enjoying and soaking up every moment. My documentary-style approach is very unobtrusive, yet we always have a ton of fun at every wedding. By the end of the night, it always feels like parting ways with good friends. This is something every couple I have worked with has appreciated and taken the time to point out. It is a complete honor to get to capture such an intimate milestone with you and your family in this way.
My photography services are available world wide. I frequent both the east and west coasts.
